Nano reviews

User rating - - Ipod nano are crap i had mine for less then 5 hours, just leaving it getting charged when i came back a couple of hours later to notice scratches already on the screen and on the back. Then days after the scratches got deeper and more were apearing two of my friends both have ipod nanos and both have cracked theres. Ipods are loved worldwide and im not saying ipods are bad because there not just apple take the NANO off shelfs. Its a little piece of crap, i now own a ipod photo and have had no problems whats so ever thank you.

Stay away from the Nano please! This is a major disappointment, I have been able to use mine for 2 days out of 1 month, it's now on it's way back to Apple for warranty replacement. The problem is that aside from the obvious scratches - any yes the screen on mine is badly scratched, my IPOD froze after 2 days. Every thing suggested on Apple's website has failed to fix the problem. It's absolutely useless now. This is my first and definitely last product I will ever purchase from Apple. I feel deceived and will NEVER recommend this product to anyone - it's unreliable beyond belief.

Do not throw away your money on this product!

User rating - - While it seems that some people have found the nano to be poor quality, I however, have not. Yes, it\'s a bit fragile.. but you cant really expect something so small to be as strong as a flight recorder, can you?
You have to expect marks to appear on it. It has a shiny polished back and a polished black (or white) front side (the black shows more marks).

The answer is: "buy a case". Snug-fit silicone cases are available for less than $20 and will protect your ipod for as long as you own it. (people buy cases for thier cell phones for a reason)!

If you're after a neat, great looking, small mp3 player, then the nano fits the bill. If you're looking for something a bit more chunky/more memory, then the ipod mini or 5g/video will be more up your street.

In summary, the nano is designed to be small. It works well. It looks good. It sounds great.

User rating - - As a new user of an ipod Nano 3G, I am extremely disappointed and could not recommend it to anyone really. The reason I have given it two stars is that the output is relatively clear.

I do not use music from itunes but have downloaded everything from my own CD collection. No doubt you can guess where I am going with this - computer broke down and had to be replaced. There is, apparently, no way you can transfer all your recordings from one computer to another. I tried all ways I knew and then contacted the 'support' team from itunes. A misnomer if ever there was one, they replied several times telling me how to transfer music I had bought from them. It would seem impossible to actually speak to a real person but then in this day and age I suppose this is inevitable.

Needless to say I had to clear my ipod completely and then re-load onto the new computer. A useless waste of my time.

Also the volume control is very difficult to manouevre (if you want to, if you don't then it will slip quite easily). I suffer from arthritis in my hands and could well do without this problem.

In the past I have always used MP3 players. In the future I can guarantee that I will be doing the same again.
