Nano's lithium-ion battery suspected of overheating

The 3G Nano has had reports of overheating battery problems - specifically located in Japan, it has prodded the Japanese government to investigate the matter. It's not the first time Apple have had problems with their lithium-ion battery, over one million laptop batteries were recalled in 2006.

The lithium-ion battery has caused problems to numerous companies. Major manufacturers - such as Dell and Nokia - have recently recalled millions of their defective batteries. Lithium-ion batteries can pose a serious health risk, with the ability to burst into flames and explode with a ferocious impact when highly overheated.
