So what do you do if your iPod has locked up on you?

1. First make sure the Hold switch isn't locked.
2. So make sure it's in the unlocked position.
3. If it is in the unlocked position you will need to reset your iPod.

For Early iPods

• Turn the Hold switch on,
• Then turn the Hold switch off again.
• The hold down both the Play / Pause and Menu buttons.
• What should happen next is Apple icon shouldappears after around 6 to 10 seconds.

For Later iPods (including the mini)

• Again turn the Hold switch on,
• Then turn the Hold switch off again.
• This time hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple appears, again this should take 6 to 10 seconds.
